The Duxbury Fire Department consists of 32 professionals serving under the leadership of Chief Kevin Nord

CHIEF OFFICER

KEVIN NORD

Fire Chief/Paramedic

Kevin Nord was appointed chief of the Duxbury Fire Department on October 20, 2004. Previously, Chief Nord worked for 26 years with the Kingston Fire Department. Chief Nord holds an associate's degree in Fire Science, a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer program.

CAPTAINS

Fire Captain/Paramedic

Rob Reardon was appointed a career firefighter on August 28, 2002.  He was promoted to captain on July 1, 2012. Captain Reardon serves as the administrative captain and Public Information Officer, as well as a communications specialist on the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team.  Reardon is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer program.

BRIAN MONAHAN

Fire Captain/EMT

Brian Monahan was appointed a career firefighter on March 13, 2000.  He was promoted to captain on July 21, 2012.  Captain Monahan serves as the shift commmander of shift 4. Monahan is a graduate of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer program.

PJ HUSSEY

Fire Captain/Paramedic

PJ Hussey was appointed a career firefighter on May 8, 1995. He was promoted to captain on March 31, 2014. Captain Hussey serves as the shift commander of shift 1.

ALEX MERRY

Fire Captain/Paramedic

Alex Merry was appointed a call firefighter on September 10, 2001 and a career firefighter on January 3, 2005. He was promoted to captain on September 16th, 2019. He serves as shift commander of shift 3 and as a rescue/dive specialist on the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team.  Merry is also a member of USAR MATF-1.

JACK AHERN

Fire Captain/Paramedic

Jack Ahern was appointed a call firefighter on October 6, 2009 and a career firefighter on August 15, 2011. He was promoted to captain on September 16, 2019. He serves as shift commander of shift 2 and as a Rescue/Dive Specialist on the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team.

CHUCK NUDD

Firefighter/EMT

Chuck Nudd was appointed a call firefighter on May 15, 1989 and a career firefighter on June 9, 1997.  He is assigned to shift 1.

BUZZ WADSWORTH

Firefighter/EMT

Buzz Wadsworth was appointed a career firefighter on September 13, 1999.  He is assigned to shift 4.

EAN CONNELL

Firefighter/EMT

Ean Connell was appointed a career firefighter on August 14, 2000. He is assigned to shift 4.

DOUG CUNNINGHAM

Firefighter/EMT

Doug Cunningham was appointed a call firefighter on September 10, 2001 and a career firefighter on January 27, 2003. He is assigned to shift 2.

HARRY MATHEWS

Firefighter/Paramedic

Harry Mathews was appointed a career firefighter on July 3, 2006. He is assigned to shift 1.

KRISTEN PIPER

Firefighter/Paramedic

Kirsten Piper was appointed a career firefighter on October 30, 2006. She serves as the department's emergency medical services (EMS) manager.

MIKE CARDOZA

Firefighter/Paramedic

Mike Cardoza was appointed a career firefighter on February 1, 2010. He is assigned to shift 2 and is a dive specialist on the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team.

DENNIS MIKKOLA

 Firefighter/EMT 

Dennis Mikkola was appointed a call firefighter on September 10, 2008 and a career firefighter on July 19, 2010. He is assigned to shift 1.

MIKE GILLIS

Firefighter/EMT

Mike Gillis was appointed a call firefighter on June 15, 2004 and a career firefighter on September 6, 2011. He is assigned to shift 3.

KEITH NETTE

Firefighter/Paramedic

Firefighter Nette was appointed a call firefighter on Feburary 20, 2008 and a career firefighter on June 9, 2014. He is assigned to shift 2.

JEN BALDOCK

Firefighter/Paramedic

Jen Baldock was appointed a career firefighter on December 1, 2014. She is assigned to shift 4.

MATT BRYER

Firefighter/Paramedic

Matt Bryer was appointed a call firefighter on July 6, 2015 and a career firefighter on January 11, 2016. Bryer is a member of the dive team.  He is also a member of the Plymouth County Technical Rescue Team.  He is assigned to shift 4.

JUSTIN STRATTON

Firefighter/Paramedic

Justin Stratton was appointed a call firefighter on July 31, 2012 and a career firefighter on July 10, 2017. He is assigned to shift 1.

KEVIN HEATH

Firefighter/Paramedic

Kevin Heath was appointed as a career firefighter on April 16th, 2019. He is assigned to shift 3.

STEVE MACCINI

Firefighter/EMT

Steve Maccini was appointed as a career firefighter on May 14, 2019. He is assigned to shift 3 and serves as the department's mechanic.

PAT DWYER

Firefighter/Paramedic

Pat Dwyer was appointed as a career firefighter on July 15, 2019. He is assigned to shift 3.

ZACK O'SULLIVAN

Firefighter/Paramedic

Zach O'Sullivan was appointed as a career firefighter on July 15th, 2019. He is assigned to shift 2.

JOHN ROTA

Firefighter/Paramedic

John Rota was appointed as a career firefighter on January 2nd 2020. He is assigned to shift 4.

CALL FIREFIGHTERS

CHRIS WEST

Retired Deputy Fire Chief/EMT

Chris West was appointed a call firefighter on July 1, 1985 and a career firefighter on June 16, 1987. He was promoted to deputy chief on July 1, 2006. On October 2, 2020, Deputy West retired after 35 years of service. He will continue as a call firefighter serving the Duxbury community.
