Honor Guard

The Duxbury Fire Department Honor Guard is a dedicated unit of five members who proudly represent the department at a variety of ceremonial events. These include posting the colors at town meetings, marching in the Memorial Day parade, participating in funeral services, presenting at sporting events, and any occasion that calls for formal department representation.
In earlier years, the Honor Guard consisted of available members wearing class A dress uniforms. While their commitment was the same, the structure and presentation were less formal. Today, the Honor Guard has undergone specialized training, acquired new equipment, including ceremonial axes and updated flags, and now wears custom-designed uniforms created by the team.
Each member takes great pride in their role, honoring the rich traditions of the fire service and representing Duxbury Fire with professionalism, dignity, and respect.
